Hi Maud and Sarah thanks for a great meeting

Erasmus-MC-logo-1

We identified some areas where we could help, and we have compiled an overview and collected information on this page. The objective is not only to present a comprehensive picture but also to demonstrate how we can add value for your patients, nurses, and the innovative aspects of the hospital.

Identified areas where we can help

Based on our meeting at HLTH Europe on Tuesday, June 18th, I have explored what your department, and, for example, a geriatric department, can achieve using our LYNG One system.

You mentioned about 30-40 beds in a department as an example of a business case. As I briefly mentioned, we have some valid measurements from our pilot projects in German hospitals, specifically geriatric departments but also lung and chest departments.

We can shift resources from routine and documentation tasks to more time for care and value-creating treatment for the patients.

With 40 beds, we can use time better with the patients.
In fact, we can free up more than 126 hours per week by:

  • automating vital measurements
  • weight monitoring
  • documentation of mobility

You can see the detailed time savings in our calculator at the bottom of this page.

For Healthcare Staff:

Improved Patient Care:
  • Accurate, touch-free monitoring can detect deterioration early.
  • Continuous data analysis improves decision-making and ensures timely intervention.

Reduction of Manual Tasks:
  • Automated collection of vital parameters.
  • Automated weight recording and documentation of mobility free up time for better treatment.

Stress Reduction:
  • Easy monitoring and documentation reduce stress.
  • Precise alarms and mobile access to data help prioritize patients.
Improved Communication and Coordination:
  • Easy sharing of data improves team communication and ensures consistent reporting of patient information during shift changes.

For Hospital Administration:

Operational Efficiency:

  • Automated data collection: Reduces manual entry and errors.
  • Improved workflow: Streamlines processes and coordination.

Cost Savings:
  • Reduced hospital stay duration: Prevents complications and optimizes bed usage.
  • Fewer readmissions: Early detection reduces readmissions.
  • Optimized resource allocation: Saves on overtime and staffing costs.

Compliance and Legal:
  • Accurate documentation: Ensures compliance and legal protection.
  • Improved reporting: Simplifies compliance and auditing.

Economic Benefits:

Implementation Plan for a Pilot Project

Integration with HiX

I believe 8 pilots would be a great fit for your needs.

Our solution is designed to work seamlessly with various systems, including your current system, Columna. We can initiate a pilot project at Erasmus within three weeks of starting. This will allow you to quickly observe the results, impacts, and potential benefits following the pilot phase.

Here’s a potential plan for getting started:

Primo August

Setup and configuration

Midt August

Staff training and onboarding

Ultimo August

System test and Go-live for pilot project

What are the potential next steps:

Follow-up Visit and demo'ing

We have had a follow-up online meeting with Sarah and Maud

I know your vacation plans, but I'm off Friday the 5th.
I will be back in week 31 / July 29th.

Live demo - Suggested date

We want to schedule a live demo on Tuesday, September 3rd, with Pieter, Jørn, and myself.

OK?

Pricing structure, Buy or lease

The costs associated with a pilot project are determined by its duration, scale, and potential.

And as you mentioned there might be some cost related to this from our side.

Once we've discussed it, we can provide a detailed proposal.

What others are saying

At Schrobenhausen Hospital in Germany, the nursing staff dedicates over 15 hours daily to gathering vital patient data, recording weights, and documenting mobility.

With a capacity of 34 beds, these are 15 hours that could be better spent on patient care instead of collecting vital parameters.

Shahram Tabrizi, Chief Physician of Acute Geriatrics

“Automating the tedious and frequent tasks would have a tremendous impact on the well-being of both staff and patients, as well as on the hospital’s finances and administration.”

  • Typical vitals are recorded once per shift (2 shifts/day) - taking 8 minutes/patient
  • Weight is measured once per day - taking 4 minutes/patient
  • Weight is also measured upon admission - taking 5 minutes/patient
  • Mobility is documented once per shift - taking 3 minutes/patient
